Loan Officers – Is Your Company or Compensation Uncertain?

Brokers and Correspondent Lenders are finding it harder to stay in business, especially with the new 2011 financial capitalization requirements from HUD;

Banks are squeezing their loan officer’s compensation – no more overages, another restructure to the comp plan, etc.

Most loan officers are scrambling to find leads that actually close.

What Loan Officers Want:

Churchill Mortgage has been in business since 1992. We are a Correspondent lender well capitalized in advance of the HUD requirements, still maintaining broker outlets, and we are exclusively endorsed nationally by Dave Ramsey of the Dave Ramsey Show.

  • Any experienced loan officer can come into our office and be making $100k plus the first year. Talk with some that are doing just that.
  • We have on-site, in-house Processing, Underwriting, Closing, and Funding. Ask questions directly to the underwriter, they are in the same building.
  • Our goal is a 10-day closing process that is predictable and consistent.
  • We underwrite Conventional, FHA, and VA direct, in-house.
  • We originate Conventional, FHA, VA, THDA, USDA, large acreage and raw land.
  • We utilize paperless imaging with our Encompass 360 LOS; no more paper files or lost documents.
  • Our pricing engine is integrated into our LOS so there are no rate sheets or lender sites to go to;
  • We are currently the exclusive lender to have a technology platform for delivering Realtors and their clients a proven system for capturing and converting more home buyers and turning them into closings; (read that again)
  • We provide exclusive Dave Ramsey Show listener web and phone leads to our loan officers, as well as other business sources; (you don’t pay for the leads)
  • Our top producers work about 50-60 hours per week, and rarely any weekends;
  • We have an office atmosphere like no other, based on solid ethics and the commitment to working hard for our customers and co-workers.
  • We receive leads from and close loans in TN, KY, MS, AL, IN, OK, AR
  • Leads 360 lead contact management – a multitude of automated email campaigns that keep you in touch with leads, purchase prequal customers, credit help, etc.
  • We provide marketing support and customer database campaigns for your closed customers, personal databases, and contacts ongoing. Little needed from you to keep in touch for years.

Requirements

NMLS and TN exams passed and valid license in force (we have a fast track path for bank loan officers);
Minimum of 2 years experience as a mortgage loan officer;
Strong ability to self-manage and self-motivate; we do not micro-manage;
Strong knowledge of current compliance regulations for GFE disclosure and redisclosure;
High ethical standards that put the customer’s needs first;
Career loan officer that desires to create a long-term business and grow it each year.

Customer Care Assistant / Phone Screener


We are one of the best known mortgage companies in Tennessee. We are looking for the next outstanding individual to add to our Christian environment as we expand our Customer Care Team to keep up with our continued growth.

Primary duties will consist of receiving incoming customer requests for home loans, or help with their existing loans in progress, and directing to the proper person. Duties will expand into our Sales Support and Marketing group as you become more familiar with our systems and processes. Several of those hired for this position have moved throughout our company to become managers, processors, etc.

Excellent position in the mortgage industry with a fast growing mortgage banker searching for a sharp college graduate. The ideal candidate must be a self starter and have a strong attention to detail, be highly organized, responsible, and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the live rate lock process
  • Responding to questions and corrections to rate lock details associated with pricing loans to the secondary market and confirming various loan attributes
  • Training Loan Officers and processors in web based applications used to assist in finding loan program details and pricing
  • Learning a range of mortgage products and pricing structures to provide the best execution on every loan scenario presented
  • Assist Loan Officers in finding optimal loan programs to meet their clients' needs

Requirements:

  • Strong computer skills are a must

Mortgage Post Closer/Shipper


  • The primary responsibilities include working in a Post Closing team environment to help clear Investor conditions, shipping loan files to investors and notes to our warehouse banks.
  • Review Investor suspense reports daily, initiate action and thorough follow-up until funded by Investor.
  • Assist in following up on final documents from attorneys and send to Investors.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a positive attitude and be flexible in a fast-paced environment that is moving forward and constantly changing.
