Sept. 18, 2013Churchill Mortgage has been recognized as the fourth fastest-growing private company by the Nashville Business Journal in its annual Top 25 Fastest-Growing Companies list.

Each year, the Nashville Business Journal compiles a list of Middle Tennessee’s top 100 private companies based on revenue. The Top 25 Fastest-Growing Companies are then selected and ranked by revenue growth over the past three years.

“This is the 15th year that the Nashville Business Journal has ranked the area’s top privately-owned companies by revenue. Making it onto the top 25 Fastest Growing Private Companies list is no small feat,” said Kate Herman, president and publisher of the Nashville Business Journal. “They are chosen based on the company’s sustained growth over a 3 year period and highlight some of the largest, fastest growing companies that have an enormous impact on Nashville’s economy. The business community can not only be proud of these successful examples, but also learn from their growth strategies.”

Churchill Mortgage, which operates with zero debt, has realized significant growth for the past several years and expanded into more than a dozen communities. The lender has hired and promoted more than 200 employees since 2011 and last year celebrated its 20th anniversary by originating more than $1 billion for the first time in company history. Churchill also launched its Young Entrepreneur contest in 2012 to support local business development and economic growth in Middle Tennessee.

“As a locally owned business, we’re honored to be recognized among Nashville’s strongest business leaders,” said Mike Hardwick, president of Churchill Mortgage. “Currently, communities across Middle Tennessee have the lowest unemployment rates in the state. In addition, Forbes recently named Nashville as the second best city for jobs in 2013, next only to San Francisco. We’re encouraged by these reports and look forward to continued economic growth.”
