As Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Darren Shaffer oversees Churchill’s enterprise technology platform and services. His primary focus is to spearhead a digital transformation at Churchill that better differentiates the company and provides a more seamless, highly-personalized user experience for borrowers, loan officers, and operations staff. Shaffer will ensure Churchill has superior systems within the mortgage industry that drive efficiency, support growth and expansion, and inspire retention and recruitment efforts.
Over the span of his career, Shaffer has led the design, creation, and launch of over 117 enterprise systems, some with millions of users worldwide. Prior to Churchill, Shaffer held senior technology positions at noteworthy companies such as Wal-Mart Information Systems, Oracle, Navidec, Microsoft, and most recently served as a thought-leading CTO in the mortgage industry. He is a six-time Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award winner and holds numerous certifications in both Microsoft’s NET and Oracle’s Java enterprise technology platforms.
Shaffer graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with degrees in computer science and electrical engineering. He then served as an Army officer during the Gulf War where he completed his graduate studies in computer engineering. Shaffer now resides in Lone Tree, Colorado with his beautiful 16-year-old daughter, Monika, and his hunting dog, Ranger.
