I started in the mortgage business in 1988. I am dating myself! I worked for a large bank in Michigan. In 1990, we relocated to Tennessee and I became a stay at home mom for our three daughters. While sitting in the pickup line after school, I listened to this guy on the radio giving people his financial advice and also heard a Churchill Mortgage commercial. I was shopping for a mortgage for our new home in Murfreesboro, TN, so I called Churchill and Mike Hardwick answered the phone. We talked and he said it sounded as if I had some mortgage background. He asked if I wanted to come work for him! I told him I would want to work when my youngest daughter started school. He held me to that and in 1997 I reluctantly went into Churchill Mortgage for an interview to possibly re-enter the workforce. I have been here ever since!! We relocated back to Michigan in 2004 and I continue to work with many of the same customers, in the same capacity. I’m honored to add customers daily, due to the referrals I receive. I have been happily married my husband, Vince, for 26 years. We have three daughters and are the luckiest people to be called Grandma and Papa by three grandchildren. I do miss the south very much, but it is so wonderful to live near all of our family again in Michigan! In the past two and a half years I have reclaimed my health. I was headed down a path of constant hospital stays, doctor visits and a grave outlook for my future. I was morbidly obese! I started my weight loss journey in March of 2014. To date, I have lost 138 pounds and have remained stable for the past year. Not a single day goes by that I don’t exercise. Don’t ever allow the fear of doing something prevent you from doing it!
