Local lender aims to add various experienced and entry-levelpositions over next several months to support increased production
BRENTWOOD, Tenn., March 3, 2016 – According to the National Association of Realtors, Nashville-area home prices rose at a faster rate than the rest of the nation in the fourth quarter of 2015. In response, Churchill Mortgage is currently seeking local industry talent for its Brentwood branch to keep pace with rising demand. Over the next several months, Churchill aims to recruit for not only higher-level positions requiring industry experience, but also entry-level positions geared for individuals interested in an opportunity to enter the mortgage profession.
“With a strengthening economy and housing market, production volume is increasing substantially, creating a need for us to recruit,” said Kevin Watson, district manager of Middle Tennessee for Churchill Mortgage. “It takes more support to support the purchase environment and we’re ramping up so we can have the ability to support loan officers, real estate agents and individuals buying homes.”
The only lender endorsed by nationally syndicated personal finance radio host and author, Dave Ramsey, Churchill Mortgage is a leader in the mortgage industry providing conventional, FHA, VA and USDA residential mortgages across 36 states. The lender’s consultative approach to lending adds to its strong commitment to local communities like Nashville. In addition, Churchill, which operates under no debt, has continued to rapidly grow to support increased lending activity. The lender has been named a fastest-growing private company by the Nashville Business Journal and a “Top Workplace” by The Tennessean.
Churchill is also an employee-owned company. Designed as a long-term retirement benefit for employee owners, all employees over the age of 21 who accrue one year of service with the company are eligible to participate in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Under the plan, all ESOP participants earn an annual allocation of parent company shares based on their relative percentage of total eligible compensation.
Through its centralized training portal, www.JoinChurchill.com, Churchill provides unique programs and innovative new products that are engineered to help its branch managers and sales teams recruit and train local talent, attract more customers and close loans with greater frequency. The site also features employee testimonials and informational videos about Churchill’s lending philosophy and information about applying for open positions.
“Nashville’s housing market continues to strengthen, largely due to an improving economy and healthy overall job growth,” said Mike Hardwick, president of Churchill Mortgage. “To support increasing demand, we will continue to seek out both the very best industry professionals as well as individuals looking to pursue careers in the mortgage industry. We’re committed to providing borrowers with exceptional service, making the path to homeownership accessible and an exciting experience, and our recruitment plans will further ensure we’re able to do that.”
