BRENTWOOD, Tenn., June 22, 2015 – As Tennessee’s unemployment rate drops to the lowest level in seven years, national lender Churchill Mortgage is recognized as a “Top Workplace” for a third consecutive year by The Tennessean. The results are based solely on positive employee feedback from an employee survey conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement.
For more than 23 years, Churchill Mortgage has remained committed to its employees’ success and continued to be a major employer for Tennessee. Last year, the lender established an employee training program, the Churchill Mortgage Academy (CMC Academy), to prepare candidates entering the mortgage industry for a successful and long-term career. Since its inception, two classes have graduated.
With Churchill’s centralized training portal, www.JoinChurchill.com, branch managers can better recruit and train local talent. The portal also features helpful tools and resources, such as employee testimonials and informational videos about Churchill’s lending philosophy, as well as how to apply for open positions. Furthermore, Churchill has entered into its second full year of its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which allows employees to benefit from the value of annual allocations of stock in the parent company.
“Churchill’s recognition for a third year as a top workplace speaks to our dedication to our employees and to the economic stability of our home state,” said Mike Hardwick, president of Churchill Mortgage. “Tennessee’s unemployment rate continues to drop, hitting six percent last month – the lowest level in seven years. We’re thrilled to help support the state’s recovery and grateful for our employees’ hard work and commitment to continued success. Without them, we’re unable to grow and help communities across the nation achieve their home-buying goals.”
The Tennessean published the complete list of Top Workplaces on June 21st.
