Churchill Mortgage’s Matthew C. Clarke Announced as Winner of Nashville Business Journal’s 2015 CFO Awards

BRENTWOOD, Tenn., Oct. 7, 2015 - Churchill Mortgage announced that chief financial officer and chief operating officer, Matthew C. Clarke, was announced as the winner of Nashville Business Journal’s 2015 CFO Awards for the Medium Private Company category.

Now in its seventh year, the CFO Awards honor Middle Tennessee’s top financial professionals for outstanding performance in their roles as corporate financial stewards. The five categories recognize outstanding individuals from small, medium and large private companies, public companies and non-profit organizations. Winners were announced at an awards dinner on Oct. 6 at the Omni Nashville Hotel in Nashville, Tenn. and will be featured in a special issue of the Nashville Business Journal on Oct. 9.

Clarke is a veteran of the financial industry with more than two decades of experience in business development, operational management, strategic planning, banking, process development, mergers and acquisitions, and risk management. Under his leadership, Churchill has grown to more than 300 employees and expanded into more than 15 new markets across the country within the past four years. His role in establishing the Brentwood-based company’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan has allowed the lender to continue operating debt-free, as it serves Middle Tennessee as both a top local employer and a trusted source for borrowers nationwide seeking to achieve the American dream of homeownership.
